Rejoice began offering band as a scheduled elective for 5th and 6th graders in the 2018-2019 school year, throughout which the program maintained an average of 60 students total.
“Band is a wonderful place to learn an instrument and enjoy one of God’s wonderful creations – music.” says director Emily Stevenson, “Our class fosters a culture of teamwork, respect, responsibility, and several other skills that can be applied to many aspects of life. The personalities and backgrounds of Rejoice Band students are all unique. By utilizing different instruments and sounds, we learn how beautiful music is when we have everyone working together. Everyone has an important place here.”
Rejoice offers beginning band classes to both 5th and 6th grade students. Additional band classes for 2019-2020 include 6th grade intermediate band and 7-9th grade advanced band.
